Volunteer with Us!

You can help Oakhurst Hospice and the Oakhurst Foundation by volunteering. Volunteers may range from teens to seniors. Some volunteers may have professional skills while others are generous individuals that want to serve their community. We are actively seeking volunteers today! Please contact us to sign up.

Our volunteers provide assistance to those in the community who are dealing with the challenges of a life-limiting or terminal illness. They are trained to listen to patients and support the families in patient’s homes, assisted-living facilities, or nursing homes.

Volunteers in hospice find it personally gratifying, intellectually stimulating and emotionally meaningful to assist those in need at a critical point in their lives. Many of these volunteers were introduced to hospice through the death of a loved one and understand firsthand the value of hospice care. Our volunteers consistently report that helping the terminally ill through hospice is not about dying but about living.
